Website Sponsors is a pay-per-click network founded by a long term member of the ClickQuick discussion forum community. Recently, the company has been sold to iBoost, and the founder has left.
Program Details:
Commissions start at $0.15 per click for all new affiliates. As your traffic grows, or as Website Sponsors is able to track quality clicks from your site, your commissions will also rise, up to $0.20 per unique click-through. Like most pay-per-click networks, a unique click-through is defined as a maximum of one click per unique IP address per 24 hour period. Additionally, Website Sponsors gives you the ability to set your own default banners for those times when they are unable to sell your whole inventory. This provides the advantage of allowing you to earn revenue from other sources, rather than simply displaying non-paying, default banners like many networks display. Another unique advantage of the Website Sponsors program is their two-tier commission model. All affiliates are able to refer other webmasters to the program, and then earn an additional bonus commission on the revenue they generate. To start, you will earn $0.01 per click-through generated by other webmasters you refer. As you refer more webmasters to the Website Sponsors program, your referral commissions can also increase, up to $0.05 per click-through. Starting with 20 referrals, you will earn $0.02 per referral click. Then, for every 10 new webmasters you refer, you will receive a $0.01 raise to your referral commission rate. Online commission reports are provided for all affiliates, with statistics generated in real-time. Checks are issued monthly once commissions reach $20. It should be noted that if you have a high traffic site that you calculate will earn over $300 per month, you should seek prior approval from Website Sponsors since by default they institute a $300 per account limit to protect against fraud. It should be noted that Website Sponsors does not accept affiliates that are hosted on any of the free web site providers such as Tripod, Angelfire, etc. Additionally, only English language sites are accepted, and your site must not contain adult or illegal material.

Feedback on Website Sponsors was previously very positive overall. Their tracking is claimed to be accurate, and new features have continuely been added. However, the founder has recently left the company, and several complaints about the program have begun to trickle in, including problems with checks not being issued in a timely fashion, and that the overall downturn in advertising has left the program with few ads in rotation.
